About Victoria Dore (nee Stoneham)

I love to paint and I love my paintings to be part of other people's lives.
I started my working life with the aspiration to be an art teacher but after one year of art training I found that the art environment at that time didn't suit me. Instead I chose a working life of detail and investigation. I became a mathematics teacher because I loved equations. And after teaching I moved on to fraud investigation. But my Mum gave me the painting spirit and together with her and all the elements of my past, I now in later life, make my works. I paint people in everyday settings, birds, still life settings, water scenes and anything that takes my fancy really. I just love that blank canvas at the start and the thought of all the possibilities that lie ahead. And I love the thought that my work can bring happiness to other people. I offer my paintings at prices that most people can afford so that they can be shared. I hope you like them. I live in Randwick Sydney Australia where you can see my work in Curio Cafe in Randwick. I am a regular entrant to the Sydney Royal Easter Show having won a number of awards there including a first prize in still life. I have also had group exhibitions.
